Reporting a community tension - anonmously
Remember!
A community tension is a situation of heightened feeling within a community or neighbourhood that can make residents fearful and anxious. These situations can threaten the peace and stability of an area and also have the potential to lead to disorder.
Dudley’s definition of community tension is:
“A situation arising from acts or events, or as a result of a SIGNIFICANT single incident, (local, regional, national or international) that cause people to feel negative toward one another and/or services provided, putting public order at risk or threatening the peace and stability of our local communities.
Tensions may manifest through mistrust, miscommunication, the breakdown of community relationships, violence (hate crime, violent extremism), isolation, criminal/physical damage, damage to the reputation of organisations, communities etc.”
