Dudley Safe and Sound are proud to continue to support the Safe Place scheme across the borough this year.
The scheme, run by Dudley Voices for Choice, provides people with designated Safe Place venues that they can visit when feeling sad, lost, scared, anxious or in need of help.
Registered venues include businesses, churches, fire stations, leisure centres, libraries and community centres spread across the borough, as well as a number of other locations. You can find your nearest Safe Place on the Dudley CI website.
The aim of the scheme is to ensure that everyone in the community feels safe, especially vulnerable people such as the disabled or elderly.
Anyone can visit a Safe Place at their time of need. The venues are clearly signposted and can be identified by looking for the red Safe Place sticker in the window with a telephone icon.
We recommend that parents, teachers and carers share this message with young people who may benefit from a Safe Place when they are out and about.
The Safe Place scheme businesses support vulnerable people and can contact a family member or carer for you if you need them too.
People can carry a card with their name, a carer or family members name and contact number in case of emergencies. You can get a card from Dudley Voices for Choice by calling them on 07930 636 552.
Spread the word and help keep Dudley safe.
